Description: On 7/22/2021, a DUI Refusal charge was prosecuted by the Elected State Attorney for the 19th Judicial Circuit, Tom Bakkedahl. The Jury deliberated for 2 hours before declaring Mr. Gonzalez Not Guilty based on the officer lacked probable cause to arrest Mr. Gonzalez for DUI in the first place.

Description: On 9/23/2020, subsequent to an evidentiary hearing, the trial court granted Defense’s Motion for Declaration of Immunity and Dismissal thereby relieving Mr. Dames of the charge of Second Degree Murder with a Firearm. The State Attorney’s Office later appealed the ruling and on 8/5/2021 an Order was entered by the 4th District Court of Appeals upholding the original ruling of dismissal.
